We can’t wait to welcome you into Galesburg’s first custom spray tan studio offering safe, sunless airbrush tanning. A trained technician will guide you on finding the perfect color for your skin tone. Our heated spray tan rooms offer comfort as clients receive their tanning service. We can’t wait to meet you!
Opened in Galesburg in 2021, Disco Tans is the first custom airbrush only tanning studio in Galesburg, Knox County and the surrounding area. We have also added our tanning products for our guests to use at home to keep their tan going year round, and we now carry spray tan clothing for guests who come last minute.

This customized airbrush tan allows you to shower in 8-12 hours leaving you a natural glow.
Rapid Tan
The express tan allows you to shower in 2-4 hours. Full color will appear in 12 hours after rinsing.
Monthly Unlimited
Keep your tan going all month long with our unlimited plan for only $75 a month.

Monthly Unlimited Plan
Our monthly unlimited plan includes 4-5 tans per month. Previous tan must be off for next appointment. Unused tans do not roll over. Unlimited plan members also receive 15% off all Disco Tans retail products. 3 month commitment required.

Preparing & Caring for Your Tan
Before your tan
- Shower at least 4 hours prior to your appointment.
- Exfoliate 24 hours prior. Shave and wax 24 hours prior.
- Your spray tan should be the last step before any event. All hair, nail and waxing appointments need to be done prior.
- Arrive with no lotion, perfume, deodorant or makeup on. We also have makeup and baby wipes onsite if needed.
- Wear dark, loose fitted clothing to your appointment or bring to change into after.
After your tan
- Stay moisturized. To help your tan last longer, moisturize with lotion at least once per day after your first rinse.
- Avoid sweating before a big event.
- Avoid saltwater and chlorine to help with the longevity of your tan.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is my appointment?
Appointments average 20 minutes. Please arrive on time for your appointment. If there is another appointment scheduled right after, we can only allow for you to be 5 minutes late.
What should I wear during my tan?
Clients can wear what they feel comfortable in. Many choose to go nude if they plan to wear a swimsuit or outfits that will have different strap patterns. We require male clients to wear bottoms during their service. Disposable undergarments will be provided for everyone.
When should I schedule an appointment before my event?
For ideal results, schedule your tan 2 days prior to your event.
Is airbrush tanning ok if I’m pregnant?
We ask that you consult your doctor before scheduling for anyone who is currently pregnant or nursing.
How long will my tan last?
Depending on your post-care routine, your airbrush tan will last anywhere between 7-10 days.
When can I shower?
For Signature Tans you are able to shower after 8-12 hours. Rapid Tan clients will receive a specific rinse time based on desired level, somewhere between 1-4 hours.
